Namaste from Vision India Foundation. In June, we successfully completed the fifth edition of Policy BootCamp, organized the Change Agents Retreat, published research etc. It should be a quick 5 mins read.

5th Edition of Policy BootCamp Concludes 

Policy BootCamp is a 21-day residential program focused on public policy, social leadership, and nation-building. 150 delegates from around the country and the world come together and stay on one campus. The program is graced by 50+ speakers including union ministers, bureaucrats, parliamentarians, grassroots reformers, social leaders, academicians, impact investors, and young achievers.

The 5th edition of PBC concluded on 29th June. The speakers included Sh Dharamendra Pradhan, Padma Shree Phoolbasan Bai Yadav, Gautam Chikarmane etc.

Change Agents Retreat

Change Agents’ Retreat is VIF’s 3 day annual alumni get together. It is a platform for our alumni who are committed to nation building to meet and interact with each other and some of the best minds in the country. Participants discuss their career plans, network with a diverse community, collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations and interact with experts from various domains of public life. The 2019 edition of CAR took place in Hyderabad in which 50 alumni from across the country participated.

Featured Fellow of the Month

Gondi Mahesh, a graduated fellow of VIF Fellowship programme has been appointed as the CEO of Timbaktu organics. Timbaktu is a farmers’ cooperative organization based in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.

Timbaktu is a cooperative initiative established by the farmers to provide safe, clean and healthy food grains to the people. Timbaktu works as a platform for the farmers who produce organic millets and pulses without using any chemical fertilizers.

Featured Alumnus of the Month

Awanish Kumar Singh has been leading SBSC Group of Institutions as President, since 2000. He initiated organic farming involving the local farmers and students of agriculture colleges in and around Gausganj Kahli Terwa, bringing absolute change in their mindset.

He has founded Medhavi-40 center, Pathshala, and the Global School in the rural premises.  At present, around 1500+ learners are getting education from these at free of cost. The school is equipped with smart board technology-based learning activities.
