The Centre for Strategic and Foreign Relations (CSFR) released its fall edition of the Soft Power Brief, a quarterly publication highlighting some of the most signficant events for strengthening Indian soft power.

This edition highlights India’s diaspora diplomacy, best exemplified by Howdy Modi, and focusses on developments in India-ASEAN cultural relations.

Public Policy Program for Executives (P3E)

P3E is a 15-week immersive educational program in Public Policy and Governance. The program pedagogy involves immersive learning experiences through direct contact with the administration and policy experts.

Talk on ‘Using AI to tap into Indian Civilizational Knowledge’

Dr Sai Susarla, Dean of Maharshi Vedavyas School of Vedic Sciences, at MIT Pune delivered a talk on ‘Using AI to tap into Indian Civilizational Knowledge.’

He urges young engineers to tap into this untouched sphere of knowledge to propagate Vedic sciences for the benefit of the world.

FELLOWSHIP UPDATE

Vinay AH and Priyank Chauhan, Fellows working on Civilizational Studies have recently participated and presented Research papers in the Oneness Conference (Advaita Vedanta) held at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeetham, Velliyanadu, Kochi, Kerala.

Priyank presented his view about the correlation between Haryanvi folk tradition and Advaita and Vinay made an attempt to critically analyse the work of Anantananda Rambachan on Swami Vivekananda. Both the presentations were well received by the audience and appreciated the efforts.

ALUMNI OF THE MONTH

Shivam Patel

Shivam Patel is an entrepreneur by heart, an engineer by education, and a private pilot by passion, he has founded Makson Aviation that is looking to connect small towns and cities cost-effectively using gyrocopters.

Previously he has worked on the ground during the 2017 Gujarat Assembly election and as a consultant to the honourable minister of Railways, Commerce and Industry. He strives to closely connect the 3 pillars of social service, industry, and public policy.
At present, he is also serving as the President, Alumni Committee of VIF
