I have applied for PBC, can I switch my candidature from PBC to ePBC?
I am selected for ePBC, can I switch to PBC at a later date?
The applications for PBC have been closed. Depending upon the situation and number of seats available in PBC, we might open some slots to switch from ePBC to PBC. This will be done at the end of May 2020. Selected delegates will be informed about the same.
Can ePBC delegates ask questions to speakers?
Yes. Exact format and process of this would be shared closer to the program.
Schedule for ePBC? Can I do it while working or attending college?
ePBC would require 4-5 hours of commitment per day, during weekdays and 8-9 hours during the weekends. The sessions would only be scheduled post 6pm on the weekdays.
Yes, students can do the program while attending college. We would share the tentative schedule a few weeks prior to the program.
I have my exams during that time? Will it be happening again?
If you have prepared for the examination, and it’s a partial overlap, you can do it in this year itself as it would only require 4-5 hours per day of commitment from your side. Else, you can wait until next year!
What does the fees include for ePBC?
Key Components are:
- Online masterclasses by experts, electives on key knowledge areas, and activities around public policy.
- Access to all content and recorded sessions over a learning management system for a year from the program.
- Academic content shared during the program duration, including books, papers, documents, videos and subject specific notes.
- Recognition as a VIF Alumni, and access to Change Agents Network and VIF zonal groups.
- Certification by VIF on successful completion, based on attendance.
- Food and Stay during the final 2-day workshop in Delhi.
Can I get the alumni status of VIF?
Can I watch all digital content anytime after ePBC?
We will be using a Learning Management System to manage all the content, documents, and videos during the program. This portal, secured by a unique login ID and password, would be accessible to all delegates for a one-year period post the program.
Am I eligible for the program?
The Policy BootCamp is for young individuals who are ready to deep dive in the policy domain. If the screening committee feels you will be a good fit for the bootcamp, you will be considered for candidature. Generally the age group is 17-25 years. However if you do not fall in this age do get in touch with the PBC team before application.
Do sessions take place on weekends also?
Yes. We are planning for 7-8 hours of commitment over the weekends.
Will the learning be the same in both versions - ePBC and PBC? If not, certificates will be different for both the versions?
ePBC and PBC are two parallel, similar programs with different engagement levels for the delegates. PBC, being a residential program, is more intense with direct interaction with speakers and co-delegates, while ePBC offers the ease of attending the program from a distance, and using technology to make way for the physical distances. Hence, the exact learnings are likely to be different. However, both the programs will have a similar set of speakers, and electives.
The respective programs will have their own certificates mentioning the accomplishments and learnings of the delegates.
Can I miss the program for a few days? I have got some important tasks to be finished during that time?
A delegate can miss at most 15 % of the total sessions i.e 12 hours of the overall 84 hours of various sessions in ePBC. The delegates would need to inform accordingly as per the procedure prescribed during the program.
Is there any group registration discount for ePBC?
Groups with more than 5 individuals can avail a discount of 10%, if appropriately informed a group in the application form.

Are there individual scholarships available in ePBC?
No scholarships for individual applicants in the ePBC. Discounts are available for group registrations, and delegates coming from organization/institutional reference as per process stated in above question.
Will there be live sessions by the speakers or would it be recorded videos?
Most of the expert masterclasses would be a live interaction. However, some knowledge based sessions would be recorded videos with QnA with the speakers.
What if I miss a live session? How will I get to see the video?
It is suggested that you make an attempt to live attend the sessions as future sessions and discussions would be strongly linked with the previous ones. However, in case you miss a session, you will be able to watch recorded versions of the video on the ePBC online portal till 1 year after completion of the program.
How will activities be conducted? Will it involve working alone or with teams?
Activities would be conducted at both individual and group level, over our learning management system, and internal coordination between the delegates.
Are people who have applied for PBC and been shortlisted ; but want to shift to ePBC be considered for scholarships ?
No, as fee is nominal.
What is refund policy?
On Cancellation Before 25 May 2020: 75% refund
Cancellation Between 26-31 May 2020: 50% refund
No amount will be refunded if you cancel your candidature after 1 June 2020.

The Policy BootCamp is for young individuals who are ready to throw themselves in the policy domain. If the screening committee feels you will be a good fit for the bootcamp, you will be considered for candidature.
Can people from outside India apply?
Yes. The curriculum covers different aspects which are useful for anyone interested in studying emerging economies.
Can I choose to stay at a self-arranged accommodation?
No. It is a residential program. All participants will be provided air-conditioned accommodation within the program campus.
Will there be sessions on weekends also?
Yes, there will be sessions throughout the 14 days. There is no holiday in between.
Is this a certificate program?
Yes, participants will receive a certificate on successful completion of BootCamp.
Where is the Policy BootCamp conducted?
What kind of food is served during the stay in Policy BootCamp?
The meals served includes breakfast, lunch, high-tea and dinner for all the days. We provide good quality pure vegetarian food which is covered under the fee for the programme. Participants can priorly request for Jain food.
What if I am unable to attend the BootCamp after getting selected?
Option 1 – Defer candidature to the subsequent edition of the Policy BootCamp (difference in fees for both years to be settled by the candidate in the year of participation)
Option 2 – Opt for refund:
50% refund – Upon cancellation of candidature on or before April 14, 2020
25% refund – Upon cancellation of candidature on or before May 2, 2020
No refund – Upon cancellation of candidature after May 2, 2020
Option 1 and 2 are applicable only when the fees have been settled, in full. In the case that the fees have not been paid, the candidate will have to go through the entire application process again, in the year that he/she shall be applying.
