About Us

Vision India Foundation is a modern nation-building movement. It was founded by faculty and alumni of various IITs in 2014.

We identify, mentor and prepare the brightest youth of the country and provide them avenues of nation-building. Our mission is to bring systemic reforms in India which align with the nation’s aspirations and ethos. For this, we groom bright and passionate young minds for future leadership of the nation.

We focus on bringing systemic, long-term reforms by working on public policy, governance and institutional frameworks of the nation. To achieve this goal, young minds across the nation are engaged in a wide spectrum of activities. Few are selected as VIF fellows and mentored to build a career as a change agent.

We have partnered with state governments, cities, elected representatives, quasi-government organizations, grassroots organizations and academicians to work on different dimensions of public policy and governance.

History and Achievements

Vision India Foundation was launched in late 2014 by alumni and faculty members of various IITs. It is a result of several years of thought and experiments on nation-building.

Since our inception, we have mentored and trained more than 500 youth from across the nation and abroad. We have developed technology tools to bring innovation in governance and worked with a number of policy leaders to bring change.

Our fellows are working with elected representatives, citizen groups, academicians, bureaucrats and more. We have completed projects on e-governance, rural development, education, local governance, skill development, and more in seven different states. Through our programs like Policy BootCamp, Fellowships, and Good Governance Yatra, we provide a platform for the brightest youth of the country to engage in nation-building.
